President’s Day, officially Washington’s Birthday, is a federal holiday celebrated every year on the third Monday of February to honor George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and also all the Presidents of the country. In 1971, President Nixon combined Lincoln and Washington’s birthdays into Presidents’ Day, a federal holiday.
Abraham Lincoln (12th February, 1809 – 15th April, 1865): He was born in a very poor family and struggled a lot to obtain his basic education. By virtue of his hard work and dedication he became the 16th president of the United States. Much like Independence Day, people traditionally see Presidents’ Day as a time to celebrate and remember their patriotism.
Happy President’s Day !
