Wonderful People Helping DCF Foster Children

Wondering People Helping DCF Foster Children

Hello, I am thanks for joining me today. My name is Kevin Seaver and I am an experienced trusted lawyer since 1991, successfully representing clients against the Department of Children and Families more commonly referred to as DCF throughout the entire Commonwealth of Massachusetts whether in court and out of court turning negatives into positives.

Today’s topic is one of my favorites of all time. It involves children that are sometimes called nobody’s children, but every child is somebody’s child, they are called foster children. In 2011, a teacher and her sister in Woburn, Massachusetts adopted two children and gave them gifts because there was no funding that year for children in foster care to have gifts.

And this effort by this teacher from Woburn high school and her sister continue to snowball where families join in from the community of Woburn to provide gifts to the foster children and continue to this day and Woburn High School, I’m going to give you a shout out, you rock. And other communities that follow suit throughout Massachusetts but it sure would be nice though if every city and town through its governor, through its legislators, state reps and state senators and through the courts do the same.

In Boston Juvenile Court, there’s been a fund for a long time called the Judge Roderick Ireland Fund and it’s been run for years by Melissa Cory and Sister Ann Ferry, two tremendous human beings. To help fund children that need a helping hand may be a hat, jacket, Christmas gifts, so forth and so on. But this type of effort is something that should be applauded loudly by all of us  and look upon very fondly because DCF job as much as I disagree with them, I also agree with them more times than I ever disagree with them.

I know it’s hard to believe but it’s true. I have a very onerous task in housing all these foster children and finding foster parents to house these foster children. And we in society have to do our part each and every city and town in Massachusetts, to the best of our ability, because we as a society will be judged on how we treat the lowest socioeconomic people in our society and there can be nobody is lower than foster children who do not vote, can’t vote and in some cases may not have a voice.

Well, it does in Massachusetts much to the credit to DCF and many other wonderful human beings and individuals out there that care for foster children. Bobby says:

I think it’s great anyone who steps up for these foster children, every child and adolescents who are in foster care don’t want to be there or are forced out of their homes because of certain conditions, I applaud SOME DCF workers who work in the BEST INTERESTS OF THE COMMUNITY AND CHILDREN. Also the ones who work with you instead of against you, things work a lot more smoothly. False allegations can make a family doing the right thing put through the process of DCF even being involved through allegations and jumping the gun sometimes, but for the most part, their doing their job, So look at the bigger picture and you always can’t go by someone’s past, because they have a future and try to leave the past in the past, but they always try to bring it up, Not good to pre judge anyone. We are all human beings and everyone makes mistakes in their lives, don’t mean you’re child is not in your best interests. Every case is different, but God Bless the children whom are taken from their homes, it might have been warranted to do so, but I’ve seen cases were there was no really good reason to pull a child out of the home. Some are willing to work with the family and some just automatically pull the child which messes up their head to begin with. Love your children and if they are pulled out of the house, then do the right thing and get them back..NO CHILD SHOULD BE LEFT BEHIND, NO MATTER WHAT..So on that note God Bless all DCF workers who are put in bad situations and the children, also people who are compassionate enough to give them a Christmas, because EVERY CHILD SHOULD NOT GO WITHOUT, they are already in a situation that they never asked for..God Bless them all..
